Ashram / Retreat Center
It is one of Thomas' long-term visions, inspired by the ashrams and retreats of Thailand and
India, to create a permanent ashram and retreat center in the beautiful Nass Valley, BC. This
ashram will be open year-round, with the winter months consecrated for retreats, the summer
months for the creation of important infrastructural necessities of the ashram.
Recently, construction of a Yoga studio was completed, and currently Thomas and Ronela continue
to build cordwood cabins, expand their garden area, fix pathways, create a shower area, etc and
make it suitable for possible upcoming retreats and workshops.
In 2008, Anuttara became a host for the International Wwoofing Organization, and they would
like to invite all students - whether they be new or old students of Agama - to help them with
their projects. Thomas and Ronela have permission from the Agama Teaching Department to teach
all months of Agama's first two programs (i.e., through completion of the Kundalini program),
and therefore can provide instruction for karma yogis who wish to continue their studies
simultaneously.
In return for five hours of Karma Yoga per day, five or five and a half days per week, they
will be giving free accomodation and meals, as well as classes according to each person's
individual level of instruction in the Agama system.
If you are interested in coming out for any duration of time during the period of May until
mid-November – be it for a day, a month, or the entire six months – you are more than
welcome! For more details, please contact Thomas or Ronela at anuttarayoga@gmail.com. They look forward to seeing you
soon!
