The Beheaded One, Chinnamasta, is the Personified Feminine Power of Courage & Sacrifice.

Chinnamasta also represents the fundamental sacrifice and sublimation of the sexual energy into superior goals, and Her own head is chopped off, as the symbol of sacrificing the activities of the mind. As Kundalini, She is located in sushumna, destroys ignorance, and leads directly to Sahasrara, the seat of Supreme Consciousness. Her worship grants exceptional detachment and spiritual vision.
